Dell witnesses her parents, brothers, and best friend mourning her sudden death. While Cole’s death is not depicted on the page, there is reference to him dying in a ski accident. There is also a scene where he visits his parents as a ghost. They cannot see him but he witnesses them mourning his death. There is no blood or violence in the book.

There is separate reference to a patient being prepped for heart surgery but no blood on the page.
